JOLLY PRAISES PM MODI IN RAMALLAH, REITERATES INDIAN SUPPORT TO PALESTINE
Ramallah, Palestine, 30th Nov 2016 : At an International conference in Ramallah, Palestine, attended by political leaders & NGOs from 24 nations, visiting Senior Indian leader Vijay Jolly in a forceful speech praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his pragmatic approach for global peace, development and crusade against terrorism & corruption. It was greeted with thunderous applause by all the international participants in Ramallah.
Indian leader Jolly recalled that India was the First Non-Arab nation in the world to recognize Palestine.
He recalled that nearly 12,000 Palestinian young boys & girls have studied in Indian Universities.
India has pursued a consistent foreign policy on issue of Palestine despite change of political regimes in India stated Mr. Jolly in his address to the assembled foreign diplomats, political leaders & Palestinian leaders assembled in large numbers.
He also stressed that the need of the hour is to shun terrorism and engage in constructive & meaningful dialogue for everlasting peace among Palestine and Israel in West Asia.
The recent high level visit of President of India His Excellency Pranab Mukherjee in 2015, followed by Union External Affairs Minister Smt Sushma Swaraj visit in January 2016 and recent visit on 8th & 9th November 2016 by MSEA M.J. Akbar with signing of an agreement for grant of USD 12 million for IT & Technology Park development in Jerico were classic examples of bi-partisan foreign policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated Mr. Jolly on the occasion.
The leadership of Palestine National Liberation Movement-FATEH & Late Yasser Arafat were profusely praised by BJP leader Vijay Jolly at the Intn’l Conference.
Representative of India Ambassador Anish Rajan, IFS hosted a welcome dinner, exchanged pleasantries and briefed Mr Jolly on the current scenario in the region.
Dr. Nabeel A. Shaath, Member Central Committee-Fateh, Commissioner of International Relations & Former Foreign Minister of Palestine warmly met the visiting Indian leader Vijay Jolly at his office in Ramallah. During a visit to the PLO Central Secretariat office, Ms. Hanan Ashrawi, Phd & Chairperson-PLO Dept. of Culture & Information along with Directors namely Ms. Margarette Husary & Ms. Samia Wazwaz warmly greeted BJP leader Jolly.
The hectic busy engagements during the first two days trip to Palestine by Indian leader Vijay Jolly culminated with a visit to Massoleum of Late Yasser Arafat in Ramallah.
