Pune: The world’s first civic service organization, Rotary International, is expanding into Pune. Local members received a new charter on 10/08/2015, to join Rotary International.
The new Club “The Rotary Club of Pune Inspira” was installed by District Governor of RID 3131, Rtn.Subodh Joshi. The formation of club was expeditious by with great efforts of Past President Rtn.Pankaj Shah.
The new club is a group of Women Entrepreneurs’ who are inspired to create and support a dynamic Rotary Culture. The club joins Rotary’s global network of volunteers in enhancing their communities and promoting international goodwill through club projects, scholarships, cultural exchanges, and grants for development and humanitarian projects.
In a glittering ceremony, The District Governor of Rotary District 3131 , handed over the Charter of the Rotary Club of Pune Inspira to its President, Shobha Nahar and its Secretary, Kalyanee Umrani; at the Royal Connought Boat Club; last evening(10/08/2015). The proceedings were conducted by Rtn PP.Arun Sathe of Rotary Club of Poona who are the sponsors of the new club.
The formation of this Vibrant Club which promises to take the Rotary initiatives forward, in a speedy and efficient manner; was pronounced by its President, Rtn Shobha Nahar , in her speech.
The Board for the new club was announced as Vice President Rtn.Pinal Wankhade,Treasurer Rtn.Rajashree Khiwasara, Jt.Treasurer Rtn.Darshna Baviskar, Jt.Secretary Rtn.Supriya Khade
Directors Rtn.Pradnya Thakur, Rtn.Sandhya Suryavanshi, Rtn.Mrinmayi Pasalkar, Rtn.Gauri Limaye, Rtn.Gauri Karale,Rtn.Kavita Lokare,Rtn.Smita Vikhankar. The members took a Oath of Rotary.
