In an exclusive interview to Rahul Kanwal on Aaj Tak’s Seedhi Baat programme, popular singer Kailash Kher said he is a huge admirer of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his social campaigns.
Speaking about his visit to Silicon Valley where he is set to perform for Prime Minister Narendra Modi , Kher said that he is excited to sing before the prime minister of the country.
“Two months ago I was contacted by the people of Indian community here at San Jose. It was only one month ago that I was informed that I will be performing for Prime Minister Modi, I was excited moment I got to know about it,” he said.
Heaping praise on Modi, the singer said he admires the leader for his selfless service to the nation. “Prime Minister Modi’s social campaigns like Swachh Bharat Mission are inspiring and pivotal. He has inspired the youth of our nation like no other leader before,” Kher said.
Kher said that he was honoured when he was asked to sing the anthem of Swachh Bharat.
Kher said that Modi is a fearless leader who is working for the development of India despite the amount of criticism he has to face at home.
“I thank god that we finally have a leader who is energetic and is bringing the focus back on our cultural heritage like Yoga and Ayurveda. I feel like India has reborn, and Modi deserves our praise for that,” Kher said.
Kailash Kher added that under Modi’s leadership the nation is surging ahead with a renewed confidence and courage.
“There was time when speaking in Hindi was frowned upon. Today we have a Prime Minister who address the world in our own language. This is a huge step forward,” Kher said.
