Mumbai: Keeping in mind the importance of science and technology as being an integral part of everyday lives; Ajay Kaul, Principal of the Children’s Welfare Centre High School a former recipient of Best Teachers State Award & Prashant Kashid, Activity Chairman of the Children’s Welfare Centre High School, hosted a District Level Science Exhibition organized by Education Department which is spread over for three days from 7th January – 9th January 2016.
Hon. Mr. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi – Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs inaugurated one of the biggest science exhibitions.
The Exhibition also had Hon. Mr. Vinod Tawde (Education, cultural and Sports Minister of Maharashtra) as a Chief Guest who interacted with the students and promised that the most appreciated project will be considered and implied towards the betterment.
With a view to encourage, popularize and inculcate scientific temper: Dr. Bharati Lavhekar (MLA), Mr. Kapil Patil , Shri B.B Chauhan attended the exhibition.
The exhibition aims at encouraging students to bring about their innovative scientific ideas through science models and diagrams that will prove beneficial for the society as a whole. Experiments highlighting issues like air pollution, flood management and dengue awareness and also innovative models will be exhibited.
The Principal of Children Welfare Center Mr. Ajay Kaul said, “Children’s Welfare Centre High School is hosting a district level science exhibition organized by Education Department where children showcase their talents in science and mathematics and their applications in different areas related with our everyday life. In order to ensure the widest possible participation and involvement of students and teachers in the programme, the exhibition is spread over three days”
Talking about the objective of the exhibition, Prashant Kashid, Activity Chairman says “The objective of this exhibition is to highlight the role of science and technology for producing good quality and environmental friendly materials for the use of society. The exhibition also aims to encourage children to visualise future of the nation and help them become sensitive and responsible citizens”
Children Welfare Center has been awarded as the Best School in K- West ward by the Education Department of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai!
