Bhubaneswar: Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, who is on a two day visit to Odisha, has invited the entrepreneurs here to invest in his state and assured them all help from the government in this regard.
“He invited the entrepreneurs from IT (information technology), marine, education and energy (especially the renewable) sectors to invest in his state. The chief minister assured that all support would be provide to the interested investors in a time bound manner”, said Rajeev Sekhar Sahoo, President, TiE Bhubanewar.
Sahoo led a group of investors that called on Yadav here today. The delegation included Tara Patnaik, chairman, Falcon Marine Exports Ltd, Debasis Patnaik, vice president of the local TiE chapter and J B Pany, former president, TiE Bhubaneswar. The Bhubaneswar chapter of TiE (the Indus Entrepreneurs) is a non-profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals established to foster entrepreneurship.
“He (Yadav) also took note of the instrumental role played by the chapter in promoting the start-ups here and the creation of ‘Bhubaneswar Angels Fund’ to support the start-ups in Odisha, said Sahoo.
Christened as ‘Bhubaneswar Angels’, the fund with Rs five crore initial corpus, will provide seed capital to the start-ups in the state.
Yadav has invited a TiE delegation to visit Uttar Pradesh.
