The Asia-Europe Foundation Young Leaders Summit (ASEFYLS) program will be hosted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Lavale campus from May 16 to 20, 2018 from 9-30am to 5-30pm. There will be students from 17 different countries mostly from Europe and Asia like Latvia, Australia, Romania, Cyprus, Sweden, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Brunei Darussalam, Japan, Russian Federation, Poland, Sweden, Pakistan, Spain, United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, China, Germany, Sweden, Poland and India. 2 participants from our University will also be part of the program.
The focus of the program is on workshops with key dialogue sessions as the intention of the participants is to kick start the thought process on the above topics, in order to establish a stellar environment of self –development and collaboration.
There will be a session conducted by Dr. S B Mujumdar, Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) on Ethics in Educational Leadership.Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro-Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) will be officially opening the program and sharing her thoughts on Women’s role in leadership.
The ASEFYLS Navigators Training consists of 4 main elements: 2 trainings, in India and Poland respectively, participation as a resource person at the 3rd ASEFYLS in Brussels, Belgium, and engagement during the post-ASEFYLS3 spin-off activities phase.
The first component in the programme is 3-day training in Pune, India. This initial step serves as a springboard to the theme of “Ethical Leadership”. Through dialogues, workshops and study visits, the programme aims to hone a nuanced and colourful understanding of leadership; navigating through personal, team and larger societal decision-making contexts. The programme goes under the mantra of: ethical leadership is not a theory; it is visible in practice and action.
