New Jersey: American Telugu Association celebrated Dussera on a grand scale in New Jersey. More than 700 people from New Jersey and neighboring states attended the program at Royal Albert’s Palace in Fords, New Jersey on Saturday, October 7th.
The Celebrations started at 6 PM with traditional Durga Pooja and then huge procession of Durga matha was taken. After other rituals, attendees exchanged greetings. Priest Velamuri, a resident of New Jersey, explained the significance of the occasion.
ATA Regional Co-coordinators Ravinder Gudur and VilasReddy Jambula welcomed the gathering and talked about the organization, its values and services to the community.
Popular Singers Venu Srirangam, Adarshini, Parijatha and Shalini enthralled the audiences with their mesmerizing songs. Every one including women and children enjoyed the 4 hour music extravaganza and their songs raised the level of enthusiasm of the audience. Popular Telugu actress Ankitha attended the event and danced to popular Telugu songs.
Most of the Attendees were dressed in traditional attire and an amazing dinner was served which gave additional boost to attendees to enjoy music and to dance till the lights were off.
Dr Laxman Kova (BJP Telangana State President) and Shri Raghu Nandanrao ( BJP Telangana Spokes Person) also attended the event as a special guest and were excited to see so many telugu people celebrating the Dussera in a traditional way and both addressed the gathering and thanked the organizers.
ATA President-Elect Paramesh Bheemreddy addressed the gathering and talked about next year mega conference, benefits of joining ATA, community services done by ATA and charity events done by ATA.
The celebration was attended by community leaders from several organizations such as NATA, TANA, TDF and TFAS.
ATA NJ Team worked for days to make this event a grand success. A very big thanks to

Raj Chilumula, Mahee SannapaReddy, Ramesh Maganti, Ratnakar and without them the event wouldn’t have been such a big success.
Many attendees praised the ATA team for its efforts in conducting the Dussera event in the traditional way. The ATA organizing committee (NJ board of trustees, regional and local coordinators) expressed their thanks to all the supporters and donors who made the program a grand success.
