Beijing: At least one person has been killed and four others injured in a gas explosion at a coal mine in central China’s Hunan Province, authorities said today. The blast took place yesterday in a shaft at Shanwozhuang coal mine in Jiahe County.
Five workers, who were working at the mine, sustained injuries and rushed to a nearby hospital. One of the severely injured persons died, state-run Xinhua news agency reported. Further investigations into the incident were underway.
