Pune: City’s cancer specialist Dr. Mrinal Supriya as a part of his 1 for 3 campaign visited Muktangan, a well-known de-addiction center in Pune for conducting a counseling session on head and neck cancer. He guided them on the precautions to be taken to reduce the pain and prevent further complications.
After conducting a session Dr. Mrinal said, “Cancer is a painful disease and addiction increases its severity. India has some of the world’s highest incidences of cancer. Prevention is always better than cure. I have held the session with same objective. By conducting this session I am filling satisfied as a doctor. This session will help patients to understand the importance of de- addiction to cure the cancer.”
Deputy Director of Muktangan said, “Life without addictions will lead to a good health which will indirectly help to avoid caner. This counseling was held with a motto to motivate people to lead a healthy addiction free life.”
