New Delhi: A youth was crushed by a speeding DTC bus on the Outer Ring Road near Burari on Sunday evening. Police said they are yet to identify the man whose face was badly damaged in the accident. The errant driver fled after the incident.
The bus travelling towards south Delhi hit Vijay, who was on his bike, around 8pm. The bus dragged him for a few metres before it came to a halt.
The locals rushed to Vijay’s help and also tried to stop the driver. One of the locals made a PCR call and informed police. A PCR van rushed him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. Police have registered a case against the bus driver and have impounded the vehicle.
