Pune, 8 March 2017: The annual Eastern Bhoomika Awards constituted by Kochi based Eastern Condiments were given away today a special function held at Crown Plaza Hotel . Eminent Women from Pune including Neeta Bhavesh Bhatia, Dr Savita Mehendale , Dr Shaila Deshpande . Tejinder Kaur Walia , Rekha Shelke , Kusum Gandhi and Caroline Audoir De Valtar were felicitated with the Eastern Bhoomika Awards for their exemplary work in their respective fields. Today the Eastern Bhoomika Iconic Women of Your Life’ initiative was simultaneously organized in five cities including Pune , Lucknow , Chennai , Kochi and Bangalore . The awards were given away at the hands of Chief Guest Ms. Laleh Busheri, CEO-Prashanti Cancer Care Mission and the Guest of Honor e Ms. Kuiljeit Uppaal, CEO of KREA in presence of Nagaveni S Chetty Supply Chain Analyst and Poonam Darade Sales Manager Rest of Maharashtra Eastern Condiments.
Kuiljeit Uppaal, CEO of KREA said that There is practically no area where women have not driven ahead. But the participation of males in our success should be cherished and respected . Citing her own experiences she said that whenever any women steps into a new zone she will face challenges . But it is critical for a women to understand her capabilities and capacities . And whatever one accumulates over a period of time , we must not stop learning . The more knowledge we have , the lesser ego we have. There are several constants on our life and being an avid learner should be one of them.
Laleh Busheri said that it is important for a women to be another women’s best friend , be humble and helpful. Also we should salute the male support especially our father , brother or husband who lend quiet shoulder in our work and encourage us.
As part of the selection procedure, the people were asked to nominate women who have influenced them in their lives. The woman could be their wife, daughter, mother, boss, teacher or colleague. They were asked to give a 60 word description of the woman along with a photograph..
