“In line with the recent holiday trend of ‘Instant Holiday Destinations’, Indian Travellers are exploring down-south, especially Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Island, this Independence-Day weekend. From sloping down the Western Ghats via Munnar to the cascading greenery of Thekkady, with the backwaters of Allepey in Kerala and the panoramic scenic views of Havelock combined with an era of pre-Independence and the struggle for freedom of Port Blair in Andaman have uplifted travelers’ spirits take the week off to relax and rejuvenate.
With travel becoming more affordable, many Indian travellers are also seeking international destinations that offer quick getaways. Short-hauls and simplified visa processes have made an easy access to international destinations such as the metropolitan Abu Dhabi that constitutes the multi-purpose leisure, shopping and entertaining Yas Island which hosts the Abu Dhabi Grand Pix; Qasr Al Sarab known for its tranquility to revitalize and revive, the breath-taking Pattaya with a blend of Thai traditions to modern adventures, are gaining whopping popularity. Despite falling on a weekday, at Travel Tours, we have observed a rise of 23% overall in travel bookings for domestic and international travel vis-a-vis last year Independence Day Weekend.”
