New Delhi, 13th April 2018: At the initiative of Ex-MLA Vijay Jolly, Central Pollution Control Board, Govt. of India conducted “Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Test” for 24 hours in F-2 block Sangam Vihar, New Delhi-80.
First time in the history of Sangam Vihar, first Air Pollution test was conducted in this densely populated residential colony located in South Delhi parliamentary constituency.
BJP Leader Mr. Jolly earlier in his communication to Chairman CPCB had alleged that Sangam Vihar atmosphere was polluted & air pollution levels as poisonous & alarming. Many poor people in the area were severely affected by eye & lung diseases. Even the roof top freshly washed clothes left in sun for drying were found with black spots etc.
The air pollution sample test in Sangam Vihar shall measure the area temperature, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen, acid mist, ammonia, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphate, fluoride gaseous, hydrogen chloride etc. stated Ex-MLA Vijay Jolly.
On receiving the test report, Mr. Jolly along with local RWAs shall initiate necessary measures with Govt. of NCT of Delhi for controlling environment pollution in Sangam Vihar area.
