Sangli: Tasgaon in Sangli and one of the famous place in Maharashtra for grapes is in the news! If Saturday, 16th May 2016, was anything to go by, the city witnessed a transition with the launch of a footwear factory. “Only Pooja Chappal Factory” was launched by the local MP Sanjay (Kaka) Patil. Versatile actor Govinda and former politician, known for his acting and dancing skills was the chief guest at the inauguration of the footwear factory. Ratanlal Haridasmal Dhameja, Managing Director of Pooja Shoe Industries Pvt. Ltd., is in the footwear business since more than 11-years. Earlier he used to get his stock of footwear from outside and sell it in the retail market. Now, he has set up his own factory in Tasgaon city.
Like every year, celebrating its yearly annual function, “Only Pooja” company honoured retailers and boosted their morale. Apart from inaugurating its factory, the day was marked with various entertainments and with the presence of award-winning actor Govinda, comedian Sunil Pal, Junior Johnny Lever, Marathi film actress Smita Gondkar and Megha Sapate making it a memorable evening. Govinda received thunderous applause for his outstanding dance performance and his unique speech in Marathi regaling the city audience present on the occasion.The actor even congratulated the Dhameja family before leaving the function. Ratanlal Haridasmal Dhameja thanked his family, relatives, friends and all the retailers for their kind and sincere support in his endeavor.
Also present on the occasion were Anil Kumar Dhameja, Vijay Kumar Dhameja and Ravi Kumar Dhameja,the Managing Directors of Pooja Shoe Industries Pvt. Ltd. with marketing head Sonu Tiwari and their eminent team comprising of Vaibhavraj Pundale, Amole Shinde and social activist Dilipbhai Patel etc.
