Bengaluru: E-commerce marketplace, Amazon.in has announced its Great Indian Festive Sale days from 13th-17th October, 2015, making it clash with Flipkart’s Big Billion Days Sale. The five-day sale by Amazon.in is offering exclusive discounts on all their categories.
This comes just days after, Flipkart announced its app-only Big Billion Days sale. Amazon.in has also announced a gift of 1kg gold on each of the sale days to one winner. There would be one winner every day through the five days of the event. The winner will be chosen by a random draw of lots to answer a qualifying contest question which will enable the participant to win a chance to receive the prize.
Samir Kumar, vice president category management, Amazon India said, “We are very certain that the Great Indian Festive Season will be the biggest sale ever for India’s online shoppers. The basket size this year is going to increase significantly with customers buying at all price points, more number of items from not only the popular categories and sub categories like Home & Kitchen, Electronics, fashion, beauty etc. but also gourmet, fine jewellery, health and personal care, fitness etc. We have significantly beefed up our fulfilment infrastructure and delivery capabilities to cater to the expected spike in orders from our customers.
It has also took on Flipkart’s app-only sale by announcing exclusive app-only deals on 16th and 17th October besides additional cash back from HDFC Bank.
