The latest animation rising star top Hollywood comedian and Indian American actress Mindy Kaling whose new film Inside Out received a standing ovation at Cannes leaving everyone teary eyed, has recently emotionally revealed about the pain of losing her mother, motherhood and breakups!!
Voicing the emotion of Disgust in Inside Out, Mindy said while promoting the film, that the film not only choked her up imagining herself as a child but she would love to be a mom someday because she was close to her own mother, who passed away in 2012.
‘I don’t have a particular urge to get married,’ Mindy adding: ‘But I do know with certainty that I want to have kids, because my relationship with my mom was so special. ‘I’ll be honest. I don’t think the way that I’ve dealt with my mother’s passing has been ideal. I was very lucky that the show started up at that time so I could just throw myself into it and distract myself. But the truth is, even though it’s been three years, it still feels like it just happened. I remember the sound of her voice so distinctly.
‘One inadvertent thing I’ve learned from her passing is that anything bad could happen to me professionally, but it would not be worse than one sad weekend.’
Mindy continued: ‘The experience of losing my mom was just so much worse than anything that could happen to me workwise. I could lose all my money, and I would be like, It’s fine.’
She also went to speak on her breakup with BJ Novak
‘I remember waking up, barely getting out of bed and we worked together but I didn’t care. I had no makeup on… I was real miserable.’ She confessed
