Pune: India’s debut in the Asia Model Festival 2015 , turned out to be an epic success. It is the largest and most prestigious platform for the fashion fraternity in Asia. And India made a stunning entry with its contestants who had been selected through the Face of India contest.
The Face of India contest was organized by the prestigious Pune Fashion Week, in association with Korea Model Association (KMA), on April 5, 2015 in Seasons Mall, Pune. KMA has been organizing Asia Model Festival for 10 consecutive years.
And this year, the winners of Face of India 2015 contest: Anam Shaikh, Pratyancha Narale, , Praveen Kumar , Aishwarya Dhawale and Vishesh Choudhary represented India in Asia Model Festival 2015 in Seoul, South Korea.
They had an experience of a lifetime in Korea where they got an opportunity of a grand exposure on a platform that had contestants competing from 18 Asian countries in search of a supermodel to be titled as Asia’s New Star Model. The training and grooming session before the contest prepared them with quintessential tips and tricks of modeling.
On the judging committee, the panel constituted of renowned names such as world famous designer Mr Jimmy Choo, managing director of Pune Fashion Week Mr Badal Saboo, famous actors of the Korean film industry and many other delegates.
Two of wellknown Indian models , Ankit Raj and Malvika Raaj were felicitated for their remarkable contribution in the modelling industry . Equipped with their seamless style, they impressed everyone present there .
Nivedita Saboo, one of the most prestigious designers in India, showcased her collection at the Asia Model Awards. She won a lot of applauds for her marvelous designs of Indian attire.
Elaborating on the Korea Model Festival , Mr Badal Saboo quoted, “India has immense potential in the fashion industry. With competitions like these, we give our talent a platform to shine on.”
Malvika Raaj said “ Representing India at Asia Model Festival was like a dream come true for me. I dearly thank Pune Fashion Week and Korea Model Association for providing me with this wonderful opportunity.
