Pune, April 2017: Komal Pujar and Shweta Darade students of INIFD Deccan Pune showcased their collection as Proud Runner-up at Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week 2017 Feb A/W on the INIFD- LST-Runway.
About Komal Pujar –
Her collection “The Royal Gateways of Jaipur” was inspired from City Palace which is a palace complex in Jaipur having four gates with beautiful paintings representing the four season and Hindu Gods. Among these four gates, the gate that represents autumn and winter season which is named as “The Peacock Gate” and “The Rose Gate” is the inspiration behind her collection. She chose the Peacock colour palette like cobalt blue, emerald green, tan, and brown. Her influence can be seen on her silhouette line having deep necks and uneven hemline in suede fabrics. This includes embossed look achieved by quilting technique which is also trimmed with intricate handwork crochet thread work.
About her collection line, she says, “Feel confident and stay classy”. The collection is more of modern tweaks, new mixes, and fresh colour combinations.
Her journey as designer began from INIFD Deccan Pune which provided a platform to learn and improvise her skills. This gave her way to London Fashion week mastering her soulful art of fashion designing. Komal Pujar has made India proud by inspiring a lot of young designers of Pune.
About Shweta Darade –
Her collection “LUCKNOWI PANACHE”, inspired by The Lucknowi Chikankari Embroidery and Mughal architecture from India. She used the pastel colour palette which includes lightest shades of blue, Mahogany Rose and peach. The use of Silk Denim fabric itself creates a fashion statement with different types of washed effects, frayed edges and fringes, flowy georgettes bedeck with crochet for “jaali work”.
Her collection includes fish cut, asymmetric and sheath cut gowns, culottes, baggy fit trouser and peplum shirt which are very beautifully adorned mainly with hand embroidery Chikankari and Jaali work.
About her collection line, she says, “Cultural essence with the trendy style”. The collect reflects the passion for trendy lifestyle.
The turning point in Shweta’s life is when she joined INIFD Deccan Pune to achieve her goals. Life is a continuous journey and INIFD Deccan enhanced her creative abilities and skills to reach her destination into the glam world of fashion industry all the way To London Fashion week. Shweta Darade has not only made Pune city proud but also inspired a lot of young aspiring designers.
