An orientation programme was organized for First Year M.Tech newly admitted students of Academic Year 2016-17 in G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Wagholi, Pune. Function was started with lightning of lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Dr. R. S. Bichkar, Incharge Director welcomed all the students. Mr. Ajit G. Tatiya, Trustee Director, GHREMF, Pune were present in the function.
G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Wagholi, Pune has been granted Autonomous status by University Grant Commission from academic year 2016-2017. This is the first programme organized since grant of autonomous status. During the programme all HODs guided the students about respective branches.
Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Director, GHRCE, Nagpur also sent congratulating message about autonomy and advised all students to enhance the engineering and other general skills.
Mr. Ajit G. Tatiya, Trustee Director enlightened students in his speech about adoption recent technology and follow interdisciplinary approach. He focused on importance of basic and advanced concepts in engineering and acquiring different skill sets and learning foreign languages. During his speech he also briefly mentioned about the various facilities available in the campus including wi-fi facility available on the campus. He advised students to make use of latest technology and internet facility to enrich their engineering knowledge and apply the same to overcome the complex problems. He extended best wishes to all the newly admitted students.
At the end a vote of thanks was given by Prof. Vijaykumar Joshi (Head, PG). The function was anchored by Ms. Munmun Ghosal. The function ended with National Anthem.
