Mahratta Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture is organizing Italian Agriculture Machinery Demonstrations at Pune on 20th and 21st May 2015.
The main objective of the exhibition as stated by Shri Satish Magar, President, MCCIA is Agricultural, horticultural productivity assumes greater importance today. We have also recognized the need of technology introduction in this segment. Besides mechanized farming contributes in higher productivity with economic and optimal utilization of resources. The Indian agricultural and horticultural segment infusion and inclusion of state of the art technology, methods of operations and machines and equipments requires to be taken on high priority.
Shri Anant Sardeshmukh, Director General of the Chamber stated that this exhibition is being organized with the objective of introducing the agricultural and horticultural producers to this state of the art machines, equipments and methods. This will motivate the growers of Pune, Maharashtra and India to move towards the utilization of these equipments, methods and machines.
Shri Sopan Kanchan, Chairman of Agriculture Committee of MCCIA informed that this is being organized jointly with Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI), Mumbai and the Feder-Unacoma (Italian Farm Machinery Manufacturers Federation) .It is a two days Trials cum Demonstrations of Italian Agriculture-Viticulture Machineries & Equipments on 20th & 21st May 2015 at National Research Centre for Grapes (NRCG), Manjri, Pune.
He further stated that the exhibition is further supported by The Confederation of Indian Horticulture (CIH), Maharashtra Rajya Draksha Bagayatdar Sangh (MRDBS), Mahagrapes and Grape Growers Federation of India (GGFI) will also be actively supporting this special event on Modernization of Indian Farming. The progressive farmers from all over Maharashtra and neighbouring States would be attending this Trial Cum Demonstrations.
Shri Anant Sardeshmukh stated that the two days event will also give an opportunity to the Indian Agriculturists, horticulturists not only from Pune but Maharashtra and rest of India to see the live demonstration of various agricultural machines and equipments such as –
Canopy management equipments
Farm waste management (converting farm waste to manure and soil aeration material)

The exhibition will be opened by Shri Vikas Deshmukh, Commissioner – Agriculture, Govt. of Maharashtra on 20th May 2015 at 10 a.m. The Demonstrations will be opened to public on 20th and 21st May 2015. This will be held at National Research Centre for Grapes (NRCG) Farm, Pune Solapur Road, Manjri, Pune.
