Tehran, Iran: Senior Indian BJP Leader & President Delhi Study Group Vijay Jolly is currently visiting Tehran, Iran at the invitation Islamic Motalefeh Party of Iran.
The Ex Vice President of Iran & Leader of IMPI is hoisting Mr. Jolly during his four days trip to Tehran.
The visiting Indian Leader Vijay Jolly was warmly greeted at Indian Embassy located at Mir Emad Avenue by His Excellency Shri Saurabh Kumar , Indian Ambassador in Iran.
In their 90 minutes long courtesy call meeting, Mr.Jolly was extensively briefed on current levels of engagements between India & Iran.
The historic Chabahar agreement signed during PM Modi visit to Tehran in May 2016 with Indian investment of US$ 85 million for equipping Chabahar port was the major highlight. Besides the multiple visits & hard efforts of Union Ministers namely Shri. Nitin Gadkari, Smt. Sushma Swaraj & Shri. Dharmendra Pradhan to promote bilateral relations were fondly mentioned & recalled by Indian Envoy on the occasion.
Mr. Jolly during his short Tehran visit shall also participate in an International Conference of Asian Political leaders to be inaugurated by Iran Foreign Minister His Excellency Mohammed Javad Zarif & Chaired by His Excellency Jose de Venecia Jr, Ex-Speaker Parliament of Philippines.
Nearly 75 political leaders of Asia, Africa & Europe drawn from 29 nations are expected to participate at this Tehran Conclave of political leaders. And it shall discuss role of political parties in reducing tensions, confronting extremism, sustainable urban development, trade exchanges & cultural exchanges for world peace & development. The Mayor of Tehran Prof. Mohd. Ali Najafi shall also host the international delegates at Tehran.
