Bengaluru: Karnataka Independent MLA Ashok Kheny, who is accused of being involved in the recent horse-trading scam, sparked a controversy after he hurled an abusive word on a female journalist in Mumbai on Monday.
The video, which has gone viral on the social media, shows the Independent MLA losing his cool and calling ‘sa**i’ to a reporter after he was questioned about his involvement in the recent horse-trading scandal. Kheny is also seen asking the security personnel to arrest and take away the reporter in the video.
However, a minute later, upon realizing that he has been caught abusing a reporter on camera, the minister defended himself on poaching scam and said, ‘I am not here for poaching but have come to Mumbai for a business meeting’.
Ashok Kheny, an accomplished businessman, represents the South Bidar seat in Karnataka Assembly.
