KLM has announced a codeshare partnership with Air Malta, the Maltese national airline, flying direct from Amsterdam.
Under this partnership, KLM will add its code and flight numbers to Air Malta’s domestic route network allowing customers to fly via KLM’s hub airport, award-winning Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and will connect with KLM’s extensive global network.
Customers for both the airlines will benefit from new services, such as through check-in for passengers with connections.
Starting with immediate effect this agreement will enable KLM to offer their customers daily services between the Dutch capital and Malta.
The flights will be operated by the Maltese airline with Airbus A319/A320 aircraft and are now on sale.
René de Groot, chief operating officer at KLM, said: “KLM is pleased to start this code-share with Air Malta.
“Customers from Malta can benefit from direct access to Amsterdam as a final touristic destination, as well as the worldwide KLM network offering 139 destinations all over the globe.
“This new code-share also enables KLM customers to visit the beautiful Island of Malta and its attractions.”
