Bengaluru: LandmarkShops.in, the flagship E-Commerce initiative of the Landmark Group in India, has expanded its mobile reach with the launch of its latest Android and official iPhone apps.
According to KPCB’s Internet Trend Reports, in a high-growth market like India, 41% of all E-Commerce in the country happens via smartphones. With the introduction of these apps, LandmarkShops.in is poised to deliver a simpler, faster, more useful and more exciting shopping experience across all major platforms.
Savitar Jagtiani, Business Head of E-commerce at LandmarkShops.com said, “We’re proud to announce the launch of our latest Android and official iPhone apps! India is a mobile-first nation and smartphones are driving the country’s rapid Internet expansion. We’ve built our apps to deliver a simple, fast, useful and convenient mobile shopping experience for leading brands Lifestyle and Max. Customers can now enjoy shopping over 22,000 great products along with thoughtful features like FastPay and Landmark Rewards all on-the-go.”
The new and completely native version of the LandmarkShops Android app is based on Google’s latest visual language – Material Design – in line with best-in-class apps like YouTube, Gmail, Evernote, Slack and AirBnB. Re-engineered to be over three times faster than before, the app aims to take the Android user experience to the next level.
LandmarkShops.in is now also available for the first time on iPhone. With the number of iPhone users in India growing steadily, it was important to deliver all the benefits and advantages of a native app experience. The new app was designed and developed completely in-house, with the goal of providing customers with a superior overall shopping experience.
The group’s popular loyalty programme, Landmark Rewards, has also been integrated with the apps, allowing members to earn and spend valuable loyalty points as they shop on-the-go and spend them for instant savings.
Devarajan Iyer, Business Head of E-commerce at LandmarkShops.com said, “Most Indians now access Internet over the mobile and more than 60% of online revenue in India comes from mobile devices. This number is growing continuously. We are confident our new, improved and faster Android and iPhone apps will significantly boost our connect with our customers and make LandmarkShops their brand of choice for shopping online.”
The LandmarkShops E-Commerce site continues to strengthen its presence in India following its launch in January 2016, and the iPhone and Android apps are primed to deliver a superior customer experience to a wider audience.
