New Delhi: MoboMarket, an international Android app marketplace from Chinese search provider Baidu, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIDU), has announced the launch of a new feature called “User Stores”, which will allow users to curate personalized app collections and share their recommended apps with friends.
“User Stores will bring a new, more personal element to the app store experience,” said Tim Yang, General Manager of Baidu India. “With smartphone consumption skyrocketing in India and worldwide, people now face an overwhelming situation where they need to decide which apps to download out of millions of choices. Curated app libraries will add a trustworthy, friendly touch to downloading apps.”
The “User Stores” feature will allow MoboMarket users to sort their favorite apps by category, and create customized virtual ‘storefronts’. They will then be able to share their curated app collections in a social feed within MoboMarket. This feature will enable users to easily explore a wide variety of apps from many different genres, and will provide more balanced exposure to new and lesser-known apps.
MoboMarket is Baidu’s international Android marketplace for audiences outside of China. With a library of over 660,000 Android apps, it is a one-stop shop for apps, games and more. MoboMarket now supports 5 Indian languages including Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Tamil and Bengali. To learn more, visit www.mobomarket.net.
