To mark, ‘International Museum Day ‘on May 18th, 2017, 12 prominent museums in Pune are coming together and have organized a three-days (May 18-20) exhibition displaying the rich cultural heritage of India, artefacts and photos at Symbiosis Society’s Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum and Memorial, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune 16. The concept- ‘Museums in Pune at One Place’, is being organized for the first time in Pune. Punekars will get a glimpse of various museums all under one roof.
Dr. Tejas Garge, Director, Department of Archeology and Museums, Maharashtra State will inaugurate the exhibition on May 18 at 5.00 pm and Padma Bhushan Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, Founder and President, Symbiosis will preside over the function. Dr. G.B. Deglurkur, Former Chancellor, Deccan College Deemed University will the Guest of Honour. A pictorial booklet giving information about museums in Pune will be released on this occasion.
The three-day exhibition is open to all between 11.00 am to 7.00 pm. Entry is free. Mementos and photos will be available for interested visitors.
