MV Trust Amity, a 209324 DWT Flag ship of Trust Energy Resources Pte Ltd, Singapore carries first ever largest consignment of 190016 Mts of coal in her maiden voyage to Mundra and berthed on 23rd Aug 2016. This is the largest of the consignments Mundra Port received. The Head owners, charterers, receivers and the port officials visited the ship and cargo discharge operations went on very smoothly.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr K K Sharma CEO &ED of Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd, a 4000MW UMPP, Mundra said, he is very happy to receive ever largest import consignment of coal and thanked M/s Trust Energy and M/s APSEZ for their consistent support in providing competitive freight and cargo handling solutions.
Mr S S Varma, CEO&ED of Trust Energy resources Pte Ltd, said that the ship has the latest fuel efficient technologies and features and registered Singapore flag as a Green ship. The design and fuel saving devises installed in the ship helps the company in reducing the carbon foot print (CFP) considerably and this is in line with the Tata Power group companies endeavor to contain the CFP. He thanked APSEZ for providing world class infrastructure facilities and discharging the cargo at record time.
Mr Ennarasu Karunesan, CEO APSEZ said that this is the ever largest vessel Mundra Port handled and we discharged the cargo in 76:25 hrs time. This for itself speaks about the quality of infrastructure and our collaboration with CGPL, Mundra.
