Traditional welcome awaits Indian PM Modi in Fiji

New Delhi (Oct 30, 2014): Global Convenor BJP Overseas Affairs Vijay Jolly had a goodwill meeting with Fiji High Commissioner in India Yogesh J. Karan. Mr. Jolly conveyed the warm greetings of BJP President Shri. Amit Shah to Govt. of Fiji.  

Grand traditional welcome awaits Indian Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi in Fiji conveyed Mr. Yogesh Karan to OFBJP leader Mr. Jolly.

PM Mr. Modi is scheduled to visit Fiji on Wednesday, 19th Nov 2014. He shall interact with the Govt. of Fiji led by Prime Minister Rear Admiral (Retd.) Frank Bainimarama.

Mr. Modi shall be accorded a grand Fiji state reception in Suva. In the past this status and traditional Fiji welcome was accorded only to three visiting leaders namely Late Smt. Indira Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth Alexandra Mary and Prince Charles Philip Arthur George stated Fiji High Commissioner to OFBJP leader Vijay Jolly. 

Fiji citizens are anxious to meet & greet the dynamic, growth & development focused Indian Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi stated Fiji envoy Mr. Yogesh.  

This visit to Fiji by Mr. Modi as Indian PM shall be historic. It follows the last visit to Fiji 33 years ago by Late Smt. Indira Gandhi in 1981.

Fiji High Commissioner extended a invitation to Mr. Jolly to visit Fiji. While praising the efforts of Mr. Jolly, he recalled that Mr. Jolly has been a regular visitor to Fiji for the past 30 years. And has promoted business along with people to people diplomacy to strengthen
Indo–Fiji Friendship”.
