Nitin Gadkari address OFBJP Malaysia via Google Hangout


Malaysia (Nov. 9, 2014): OFBJP Malaysia Chapter President Pradeep Batra in a statement from Kuala Lumpur claimed that a grand Deepawali celebration program was organized at Spice Garden Restaurant in Malaysia to connect the Indian diaspora and the Malaysian people. Mr. Batra loudly lauded the active role of Senior BJP Leader and Ex. Delhi MLA Mr. Vijay Jolly for being the guiding spirit for the OFBJP chapter in Malaysia.

The program, began by offering obeisance to the Almighty with a well conducted Pooja by Prabhuji of  ISKCON temple, Malaysia. Good wishes on behalf of PM Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah were conveyed on the occasion.

Indian Minister for Transport Shri. Nitin Gadkari addressed the Malaysian citizens via Live Google Hangout. Mr. Gadkari conveyed his best wishes to all & shared the vision of Indian Govt. and its path for progress. He emphasized on govt. initiatives in Transport, Shipping, Defence etc. to increase the Indian growth rate. Mr. Gadkari also informed about the newly inaugurated skilled man power initiative of Indian Govt. He exhorted the diaspora to be part of the India growth story of “Digital India & Make in India” campaign.

The Malaysian audience was rapturous on this live address and admired this initiative and demonstration of India’s technological progress.

The Indian High Commissioner to Malaysia Mrs. & Mr. T.S. Tirumurti & Malaysia Tourism Director General Dato Mirza specially graced the function. The guest list included Ambassadors and dignitaries from various countries like Mauritius, Ghana, Ecuador , Morocco, Japan, Maldives etc.

Many dignitaries and public figures from Malaysia participated in this joyous occasion. Tan Sri Kayveas, President of the People Progressive Party of Malaysia, Tan Sri Keshu, Dato Randhir and Mr. S. Palani Vel from MIC, Dato Rizal from Umno, Dato Garry Chua from MCA, Dato Alfred and Dato Nirmala from AMG International, Dato N.K. Jasani, Managing Director SJ Grant Thornton, Dato B. Bhaskaran Pillai from MIBC, Dr Rajamani from Astro, Dato Ramesh from Malaysian Indian Chamber of Commerce & Mr Radha Krishnan, Chairman Gandhi Memorial Trust represented their organisations.

The Bharat Club of Malaysia was represented by Raghav Mittal, Sushil Mohta, Shyam Garg, and Mohan Dhingra with their spouses.
