Indian Premache Lafde, first Marathi film to be shot in White Rann of Kutch
Mumbai (Nov. 25, 2014): Marathi Film Industry is booming by the day and what bigger proof than the likes of Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Riteish Deshmukh showing interest by either producing films or even acting in them. Seeing such massive potential in the industry even producer Mohanlal and associate producer Mushtaq Ali are venturing into Marathi films with their project Indian Premache Lafde (IPL).
Interestingly, both Mohanlal Purohit and Mushtaq Ali are non-Maharashtrians but it was their love for Marathi cinema that pushed them to debut in the industry as producers to a film that's sure to write history in Marathi film space.
Not many know, but IPL also happens to be the first Marathi film, the song of which has been shot in the picturesque White Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. The song titled Full Sundari shot on Miss Heritage Shital Upare and Swapnil Joshi Junior has been choreographed by Sujit who also choreographed Galliyaan from the superhit movie Ek Villain.
Boasting about the song the producers jubilantly declare their confidence on the film, “IPL is a great film and we did not want to compromise on the production quality of the film. Hence we established the film on a grand scale and went ahead with what was required in it. The song deserved to be shot at the Rann of Kutch so we did it. It's a beautifully shot song and we are sure everyone is going to love it.”
Directed by Deepak Kadam, IPL is story of some relationships which needn't necessarily have a name but are ones which would never let you feel alone. This film deals with myriad emotions such as love, affection, emotion, drama and comedy.
