India opens up new avenue for upcoming talent, ties up with Korea Model Association

Pune (Nov. 12, 2014):  As a part of its many ventures undertaken by Badal Saboo Group [BSG], one of the recent associations has been an international venture to support talent in fashion industry all over India. PFW (Pune Fashion Week) which is a group company has joined hands with Korea Model Association (KMA) to promote Indian Fashion Models & Designers internationally and foster cross-border cultural & business relations of India with Asian Countries. As a part of this commitment, model audition will be held PAN India in top cities to hunt the FACE OF INDIA and the nominations will get an opportunity to represent India at the Asia Festival 2015. The registration for the same shall take place on www.faceofindia.org website.   

KMA is an affiliated organization of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in REPUBLIC OF KOREA for the purpose of promotion and protection of Models’ right & interest and related business. It is the biggest model, fashion and beauty event in Asia. New models, renowned designers and top models from 16 Asian nations are selected in each nation are invited to Korea.

On the event of signing the partnership in Korea, Mr. Badal Saboo, Managing Director, PFW quoted, “It is interesting to see the way talent has evolved over the last couple of years on fashion & design front. India is now taking a leap as one of the most promising luxury fashion destinations today. Hence, as an industry stakeholder, it is our responsibility to develop the same potential onto a credible platform. Additionally, we are also committed to facilitate International Designers and Models too for exploring India as a market at the same time exploring International opportunities of association for Indian Models and Designers in 16 top Asian nations. With this prestigious relationship with KMA, we look forward to create extensive value exchange through the language of talent promotion that would eventually strengthen business and cultural avenues of India with Korea along with other Asian countries.”

This association is a great opportunity for all the stakeholders from Korean Fashion Industry to explore India which is one of the fastest growing consumer markets in the world. “

The key management that will be representing Face of India would be Mr. Badal Saboo who is designated as the Committee Chairman, Mr. Shi Hwan Kim ,International Cooperation Director along with Ms. Amita Singh as Committee Director.               
            
As per the proposed plan, an all India Talent Hunt shall be organised to select ‘Face of India’ (male – female), ‘India New Star Model’ (male – female) and ‘Indian Designer of the year’  who shall represent India at the Asia Model Festival Award 2015 and Asia New Star Model Contest 2015 and compete with 16 Asian nations. The Asia Festival 2015 will have the following countries participating - Cambodia, China, Hongkong, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Philippines.

This platform will serve as a golden career opportunity for aspiring as well as professional models to explore opportunities in Korea as well as other Asian countries. While the grand Asia Festival will be held in Seoul in April 2015, the details for the said India rounds will be announced soon.
