Vijayan Gangadharan appointed as General Manager at Four Points by Sheraton Pune

Pune (Sept 17, 2014): Vijayan Gangadharan has recently been appointed as the General Manager at the Four Points by Sheraton Pune. With over 26 years of experience with leading hospitality brands, his skills have been mastered in the fields of product marketing, product managing, media and public relations, events, conventions and training.

Vijayan brings his skills and core competencies to Four Points by Sheraton Pune, prior to which he fulfilled his role and shared his expertise as Executive Assistant Manager at Sheraton Bangalore. His previous stints include, Director of Food and Beverage in Grand Hyatt Mumbai as well as in Hyatt Regency Mumbai for more than ten years where he achieved record outstanding audit scores for more than a year. He also served as Food & Beverage Manager for three years at The Regent Mumbai (now Taj Land’s End), Senior Manager at The Leela Kempinski, Mumbai, as Captain at The Al Rashid Hotel, Baghdad and The Krishna Oberoi, Hyderabad, to name a few.

His principal skills lie mainly in smooth communication. He strongly supports the idea that communication between him and the other areas of instruction maximizes employee productivity and functioning. With the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling, he meets the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the hotel and it’s guests. Constantly assessing local, national and international market trends, vendors and other hotel/restaurant operations, Vijayan makes sure that the team's efforts and the hotel's outcome come into effect with the same agility as his evaluating skills.  

He believes that a leader is only as good as his team. Ensuring his team is reaching its highest potential through regular communication and strong company values, he leads not only himself but the entire team towards excellence.
