La Terrazza restaurant at Hyatt Regency Pune creates history, makes India’s longest pizza

Pune (Dec. 15, 2014): La Terrazza Trattoria , an authentic Italian, home-style restaurant at Hyatt Regency Pune has created history by making the country’s longest pizza. The event which was held in the hotel saw the creation of the enormous 60X6 feet pizza.

La Terrazza–is an authentic Italian restaurant that serves home-style Italian cuisine and features an open kitchen that showcases the chefs preparing Italian delicacies. Taking this Italian legacy forward, La Terrazza decided to create the record breaking pizza to highlight that it serves some of the best thin crust pizzas in the city along with other unsurpassable Italian delicacies.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Mohammad Labban, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Pune said, “We want to reinforce the message of La Terrazza Tarttorria being a truly Italian restaurant through an event that is unique, fun, involves the local community and attracts the media to have an exciting story to talk about. Additionally, we are a competitive team who saw an opportunity in breaking a record. The current registered record for the longest pizza in India is approximately 16X5 feet long as per the Limca Book of Records and now there is a new record that has been created.”

Around 100 people were involved in making history and as being socially responsible, Hyatt Regency Pune concluded the event by inviting around 150 underprivileged children from local NGO’s to share the excitement and enjoy eating “the longest pizza.”  This event could not have been possible without the team of dedicated chefs, hotel guests and our friends from the corporate world.

Marking another interesting development at the event, the hotel also launched the special seasonal menu at La Terrazza. This winter the menu consists of delicacies such as grilled salmon steak with balsamic roasted beets and warm artichokes, grilled tenderloin with potato-gorgonzola puree, asparagus and  pepper sauce, vegetable stufato (winter vegetable and beans stew with fresh baked focaccia), warm mushroom salad (with garlic ciabatta and truffle oil) amongst others.
