Ananth Kumar invites suggestions on good practices in fertilizer industry


New Delhi (Dec. 10, 2014): Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Shri Ananth Kumar invited suggestions and ideas on Good practices and processes across the Fertilizer industry from the industry faternity. Shri Ananth Kumar mentioned that 25th of this month will be celebrated as "Good Governance Day" on the birthday of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Fertilizer industry plays an important role in ensuring availability of quality fertilizers to the farmers in time and every place of the country, he said. He was speaking on the occasion of Inaugural function of the FAI (Fertilizer Association of India) ANNUAL Seminar 2014 in New Delhi today.

Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers complimented FAI and its Board of Directors and the members of the Fertilizer Industry faternity for their continuous service for Indian agriculture and making fertilizers available to the farmers. Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Shri Ananth Kumar also assured that various issues relating to the Fertilizer Sector would be addressed at the earliest.

Also present on the occasion were Shri J.K. Mohapatra, Secretary, Department of Fertilizers, Shri S.S. Nandurdikar, Chairman, FAI, Shri Satish Chander, Director General, FAI.
