International CORN Summit Kick –Starts in Mumbai: CII - US GRAINS COUNCIL initiative
Mumbai (Jan. 20, 2015): Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and US GRAINS Council organized an International Conference on "Corn" in Mumbai, India.
Industrial bio refining of agricultural feedstock is growing at a fast pace around the world. In the last five years there has been major expansion in corn wet milling capacity in India, China and South East Asia. India has seen a change in many policies and many of the old laws are being repelled, in the recent past. New investment policy has been announced and there is capacity in India to produce and also consume. The 'Make in India' initiative announced is a testimony to the policy shift.
This Conference on Corn Technology will bring together Corn wet millers, dry grind ethanol producers, corn dry millers to discuss recent advances in starch processing technology for food, beverages feed, biofuels and bio products / biomaterials. This conference will witness experts from industry, government and academia present cutting-edge information on technology, equipment, enzymes, and feedstock relevant to the starch processing industry. The Conference will be a important platform for opportunities towards transferring new technologies to Indian starch manufacturers and users of products in India and South East Asia region.
