Bhaiyyu Maharaj's humanitarian mission for poor, destitute


Trust volunteers saving lives of poor living on city streets

To distribute over 11,000 blankets in current winter season

Indore (Dec. 24, 2014): With the onset of winter season, the volunteers of Shri Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmarthik Trust under inspiring patronage of spiritual leader P.P. Shri Bhaiyyuji Maharaj have embarked upon their humanitarian mission and accordingly distributing blankets among the destitute, the poor who have no roof over their head and spending their nights on the city streets under open sky under the biting cold.

As the evening sets in, these dedicated volunteers Shri Bhiyyuji Maharaj and his Trust, carrying bundles of blankets leave for various destinations -- vis--a-vas railway station, bus stand, Khajrana temple, Shashtri Bridge, Patnipura and at other such public places and distribute blankets among the poor who are seen battling with chilly weather. The volunteers who are a part of this humanitarian mission include Tushar Patil, Vinayak Dudhade, Ganesh Talekar, Sanjay Yadav, Jagdish Patel, Amit Deshmukh, Sonu Khalsa, Kishore Pawar among others.

So far Shri Saduguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmarthik Trust has distributed over 6,000 blankets among the poor living in slum localities, footpaths and at public places in various parts of the city, said Mr Sharad R Pawar, chairman, Shri Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmarthik Trust adding that under the ongoing winter season, the trust has set a target to distribute over 11,000 blankets among the poor in Indore and its adjoining regions till the last day of the current year.

In the past four years, Shri Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmarthik Trust has distributed over 50,000 blankets among the poor and the destitute in various parts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra and saved them from the biting cold, Pawad added.
