LPF and BMC software partner towards working together for educating and empowering girls


Pune (Nov. 4, 2014): Lila Poonawalla Foundation which is working towards providing financial assistance to needy and meritorious girl students for graduation and post graduation studies recently entered into a partnership contract with BMC Software to provide support for scholarships to girls pursuing their graduation in Engineering in Pune. Mr. Tarun Sharma, VP, R&D - BMC Software India Private Limited and Padmashree Mrs. Lila Poonawalla, Chairperson, Lila Poonawalla Foundation signed the MOU. This four years partnership focuses on promoting education and overall development of the girls to make them empowered, confident and employable.

Beyond scholarship the Lila Poonawalla foundation will regularly conduct training programs for the girls, including spoken English, enhance employability, how to succeed in interviews and group discussion, resume writing and Interview techniques, soft skills training, self-defence workshop, wellness of women (WOW) and industrial visits.
