PlaytorChildspaces is launching 3 child-friendly projects that provide affordable homes in Paud, Ranjangaon (MIDC) and Rajgurunagar

Pune (Nov. 12, 2014): With an aim to create affordable housing townships, Sangam Group, a pioneer in low cost construction business for more than a decade, announced its partnership with Brick Eagle, the premier financial services platform for affordable housing, to launch PlaytorChildspaces (Playtor). With a mission to create child-centric communities in the outskirts of major metropolitan cities of India, this would mark the entry of Playtor in the city’s skyline. The projects promise to change the social housing landscape in the country by offering homes at Rs. 10 lakh. Playtor is launching three projects in the outskirts of Pune: namely Ranjangaon, Rajgurunagar and Paud.

With property rates on the constant rise, procuring a house at an affordable rate is a major concern especially for low income groups. Playtor helps bridge this gap and work towards a slum free India by providing child-friendly, quality homes at an affordable rate. Ranjangaon offers 1600 one BHKs with close proximity to the MIDC and Rajgurunagar provides 450 one and two BHKs located between the Rajgurunagar Pune International airport and the Chakan-Talegaon growth corridor. Paud, located in the heart of the Pune suburb, offers a township of 500 one BHKs.

Brick Eagle currently manages over 1,250 acres of projects which when completed will house over 88,000 families. With Playtor, they are further expanding their commitment towards the social housing development space.

Playtor has partnered with leading players in the business to collaborate and channel their expertise and experience to enable social housing. Key partners include Ashoka and Architect Hafeez Contractor. Playtor seeks to work with Ashoka, a world renowned NGO with a network of over 3,000 social entrepreneurs worldwide to maximize availability of Playtor homes to low income groups.

Internationally acclaimed Architect Hafeez Contractor has added modern design sensibilities to Playtor projects by designing compact units, efficient township plans, maximizing natural light and ventilation thus bringing the cost of the homes down.

Moreover, PlaytorChildspaces projects will feature child-centric amenities that will help its littler residents play and grow into the future leaders of India.  Such amenities, such as treehouses, themed wallpaper, and world-class play areas with special vehicle restrictions, are unique to these properties. Playtor is shaping the future of India with such thoughtfully designed homes at such low rates.

Commenting on the occasion, Ms. KirtiTimmanagoudar, Head of Brick Eagle Social Housing said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of PlaytorChildspaces, our collaborative venture with Sangam Group. Playtor has taken up the challenge of building integrated townships for low income groups with houses priced at Rs.10 lakhs.  Our association with Playtor is an important milestone in Brick Eagle’s journey to deliver one million affordable homes.”

Mr. SujitBhansali, CEO of PlaytorChildspaces said, “Playtor for us is a novel concept, as we for the first time are venturing into child-friendly affordable housing. We believe this project will help solve the biggest concern for most people- quality homes and basic amenities at a rate that fits their budget. We are kick starting our journey of providing affordable homes with 3 projects at Paud, Ranjangaon(MIDC)  andRajgurunagar and look forward to setting up similar projects in the outskirts of other metropolitan cities. It has been a great experience partnering with Brick Eagle, Ashoka and Hafeez Contractor, all of whom are experts in the social housing space.”

Manikandan KP, Consultant – Housing for all, Ashoka India says “It gives us great pleasure to be a part of this initiative. We will help Playtor identify the most deserving buyers, mentor them and connect them to housing finance providers to get access to secure loans. With over 30 years of experience in empowering social entrepreneurs, we are excited to start work in this project and help thousands of homeless Indians buy homes and give them a better life.”

Hafeez Contractor, Principal and Founder, Architect Hafeez Contractor said, “India is facing a severe housing shortage, largely concentrated in the people that need a home most. The need of the hour is social housing that does more than shelter the masses. It must provide safe and secure environments for all children, and give them the tools they need to lead the country. We look to provide such homes with thoughtful design elements to give families comfort, yet always suit their changing needs. It has been my pleasure to work on this project.”
