Chennai: Dhanush, the superstar of Chennai, took home his second Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Male) for the critically acclaimed Velaiyilla Pattathari. He also launched the special issue featuring all the highlights and winners of the 62nd Britannia Filmfare Awards (South) at a glittering event in the Tamil Nadu capital. Present along with the actor was Mr. Jitesh Pillai – Editor Filmfare.
In its 62nd edition, the Britannia Filmfare Awards (South) continued the tradition of honouring the best achievers from the four key film industries in South India. A whopping 50 awards were handed out that night. The star-studded evening saw big names like IV Sasi, Radhikaa, Mammootty, Nagarjuna, Allu Arjun, Dhanush and many more take home the Black Lady. There were also scintillating performances by stars like Meghana Gaonkar, Pranitha, Tamannaah, Parul Yadav, Nikki Galrani, Poorna and Taapsee Pannu.Chinmayi and Rahul were the livewire hosts of the evening.
