Chicago: People from Chicago Muslim community took out a colorful procession on the occasion of Eid Milad un-Nabi the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad on Devon Ave. Community celebrate by remembering episodes from the life of the Prophet Muhammad or by reciting devotional poetry and hymns.
A procession was taken out last Friday by Chicago Sunni Muslim Society of North America (CSMSNA) to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Mufti Mohsin Makki Sahab and Mufti Abu Bakr Shazli lead the Annual Milad-Un-Nabi Procession. Thousands of Muslims from several Islamic organizations took part in the procession which started from Devon and Western intersection and turned around from Rockwell Street and ended on Western and Devon intersection. People were holding play cards and flags. Young children were seen wearing nice dresses.
The procession was ended at the Ayesha mosque were performed demanding harmony and peace and light on the Preaching’s of Hazrat Muhammad.
Prominent members of India & Pakistani community, IndoPak-American Business Community, Representatives of local media and some other Community leaders Hameed Ullah Khan, Tauseef Siddique, Jamil Ahmed Khan, and Chaudhry Kareem were present among others during the procession.
