Pune: Renault India, one of the fastest growing automotive companies in India, is embarking on an aggressive network expansion strategy in India. As part of this expansion strategy, Renault India increased its presence in Pune with 3 new state-of-the-art facilities in Chinchwad, Hadapsar and Fatima Nagar. The new facilities are built according to the RENAULTSTORE concept, and will offer Renault’s best-in-class products and services to the discerning customers in Pune.
This will bring Renault’s total presence to 24 sales and 24 after-sales outlets in Maharashtra, with its pan-India network strength at 208 sales outlets and 180 after-sales outlets.
Commenting during the inauguration of the new dealership facilities, Mr. Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations said, “Renault is one of the fastest growing automobile manufacturers in India. The launch of our new generation dealerships in Pune today showcases our commitment towards this objective and we look forward to strengthening our presence in this important market. The growing success of the Renault brand is evident by the 100 deliveries which were made by the dealer partner, Unnati Vehicles Private Limited, today. “We are grateful to our customers for the confidence and trust bestowed in the Renault brand which is reflected by our increasing sales, despite the challenges the industry is facing. In March, Renault recorded its best ever sales figures in India, and we will continue to maintain this positive momentum as we strategically work towards increasing our market share in India,” added Mr. Sawhney.
Renault Chinchwad, which is located at Plot No GP 187, MIDC area, Chinchwad, is a 3S facility that integrates sales, service and spares. The dealership is spread over an area of 30,000 sq.ft. of space with 4,000 sq. ft. of showroom space which can accommodate 5 display cars. It has a mechanical workshop facility and has 10 mechanical bays.
Renault Hadapsar is located at Plot No.44, Hadapsar Industrial Estate, and is a 2S facility with an overall area of 18,000 sq.ft. The workshop facility includes Mechanical and Bodyshop services with 11 Mechanical Bays and 8 Bodyshop Bays.
The third facility, Renault Fatima Nagar, is located at Shop No.1, 16 & 17, Survey No.17/A/1/2&3, Fatima Nagar, Wanowari, and is a sales facility (1S). The new showroom is spread over an area of 3,100 sq. ft. and is equipped to display 4 display cars.
All the 3 state-of-the-art facilities which have been inaugurated today are being owned by Unnati Vehicles Private Limited. The dealership facilities have been designed according to the RENAULTSTORE concept, which best addresses the needs of customers by highlighting the value of the brand, products, services and accessories in a modern and more effective manner. With 208 sales outlets and 180 after-sales outlets, Renault currently covers 80% of the market in India and is constantly making deeper inroads across the country, including tier II-IV markets.
As part of its strategic focus on enhancing the customer brand experience, Renault has organised more than 500 service camps and customer-centric events last year, translating into more than 50 such after-sales events across Renault dealerships every month.
