Pune: Singapore based Govin Capital will offer a helping hand to accelerate early stage start-ups from the city to transform them into successful business ventures.
Govin Capital has made investments in two Pune based start-ups including Palash IVF Solutions Private Limited and CellBeans Healthcare. Palash IVF provides IT solutions for IVF Centers and it has been successfully functioning in 29 IVF centres in India and 6 abroad. Whereas, CellBeans Healthcare is focused on providing cutting edge solutions to Radiology segment of healthcare sector. Both these companies are the Palash Group Companies, which provides effective IT solutions to healthcare sector. It has more than 300 installations in about 15 countries.
Govin Capital is already functional in India through it’s ‘Startup Accelerator India’ initiative in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) and IIT Madras Incubation Cell and has funded more than a dozen start-ups so far.
Govin Academy, a sister company of Govin Capital, Singapore has tie-up with SEED Infotech, India’s second largest IT Training and Staffing company for the purpose mentioned above. An MoU was signed between both the organizations today. Subsequently, Anand Govindaluri, Founder of Govin Academy and Narendra Barhate, CEO of SEED Infotech made a formal announcement of this development during a Press Conference held in the city today.
Govin Academy provides structured mentoring to aspiring entrepreneurs in the areas like Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and medical devices who want to start their own venture and raise funds from blue-chip investors.
Commenting on this association Anand Govindulari said, “Under this MoU Govin Academy will act as a knowledge partner for SEED Infotech to help promote Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management amongst all IITs in India such as IIT Mumbai wherein Mr. Narendra Barhate is an Alumnus.”
“We wish to undertake training programs in Biomedical Entrepreneurship to promote Bio-economy of Maharashtra and India, which would be a first of its kind initiative in India”, he added.
Speaking on the occasion Narendra Barhate said, “Together we will set up ICE (International Centre for Entrepreneurship), organize Bootcamps and be the fulcrum for investors to participate in entrepreneurial education in Pune. We are happy to share that Govin will help us contribute and raise funds for all these initiatives.”
