SpiceJet crew demonstrates Yoga asanas for 3rd consecutive year on ‘International Yoga Day’ on 30 flights
Gurgaon, 21 June, 2017: Having pioneered the concept of on-board Yoga, SpiceJet, the country’s favourite low-cost carrier, known for its ardent customer engagement initiatives recreated the effect this ‘International Yoga Day’. SpiceJet crew performed Yoga asanas on board on 30 flights to celebrate the day.
After receiving an overwhelming response from customers and the industry as a whole, SpiceJet, which introduced its initiative – ‘High on Yoga@35000 feet’ two years back, yet again executed the program scheduled for 21st June 2017. Passengers were seen participating in performing travel-friendly asanas themselves while seated.
SpiceJet continues to offer Yoga on board without compromising on passenger safety and within regulatory compliances on its select long haul flights on a regular basis. The airline, in partnership with the Isha Foundation (isha.sadhguru.org) has constituted a unique program wherein SpiceJet’s crew, trained by Isha Foundation instructors, perform Upa-Yoga practices specifically designed to be done on board its long haul flights.
Around 170 SpiceJet crew members specially trained to perform Upa-Yoga taught by dedicated Isha instructors undertake a ten minutes session on board, across the SpiceJet network, on a regular basis.
