Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam singh Yadav in an apparent slip of tongue asked the the women to keep off the mobile phone as it was a dangerous instrument. SP chief said he was specifically telling this to girls to be beware of this instrument as they have to lot of indecent things due to this instrument’’
The SP chief said he was himself landed in a trouble due to the use of the mobile phone. Yadav was addressing a function at the official residence of the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on the occasion of release of a book here on Saturday. Besides the glitterati of the state capital chief minister and several of his cabinet colleagues and Dimple Yadav daughter in law of the Mulayam Singh were present in the meeting.
“I rarely use the mobile phone, just press one button and entire conversation is tapped. Once I uttered some word and that was recorded and one Member of Parliament recorded it on CD. It’s good that the India is developing and technology like computer also growing. But mobile phone— it’s a dangerous instrument. I am specifically telling this to girls to be beware of this instrument as they have to lot of indecent things due to this instrument’’, said Mulayam Singh Yadav.
SP chief further said RsRsHam to mobile se kam se kam baat karte hain (I use the mobile phone to the level of bare minimum). If somebody calls me on the mobile then I snub that persons and asks him what prevents him from calling on the land line. One may call me on the mobile phone if I am away from home in a agriculture field in the village, otherwise never use this instrument, all conversation on mobile phone are being tapped’’.
Earlier on October 23 senior Samajwadi Party leader and cabinet minister Azam Khan had blamed smart phones for the rise in crime against women. Referring to recent incidents in Delhi where two toddlers were raped and assaulted, Azam Khan had said pornographic material is easily accessible over Smartphone to people even in villages which are ruining the growth of children and youth.”Two-and-half- year olds getting raped, why? It is because of mobile phones. Even in villages people can download porno films. It is these things that are accessible on mobile phones, that is ruining the youth and kids who haven’t even come of age,” Azam Khan had said.
In his usual style Mulayam Singh Yadav again targeted his son and chief minister Akhilesh Yadav asking him to organize the training programme for the government officials. RsRsAs long as I was the chief minister I ensured that the training programme is regularly organized. Ever since akhilesh has taken over Chief Minister this programme has come to a grinding halt. Until the training is imparted no government official will be able to perform to the best of his capacity’’, said the SP chief.
SP chief was also critical of his son for being indifferent towards organizing the training programme for the party cadres particularly the youth. RsRsSamajwadi Party is full of youth, but such a sharp drop in the cadre training programme was never in the history of the party. During my tenure as chief minister cadre training programme was a continuous process and they were held sometime at Dehradoon or Chitrakoot or at some other place in the state. But no such programme has been organized in last over three years’’, said Mulayam Singh ’’.
