TAGC family members (Youth and Adults) benefited from Educational Event conducted by Telugu Association Of Greater Chicago & South Asian Humanist Association(SAHA) on July 30th, 2017 at Schaumburg public library in the Chicago area. More than expected youth members attended the event to learn about varying topics including Leadership, Vision, Science & technology with Atomism and College funding.
Rendering inspirational speech on Life Mission of Dr. Abdul Kalam and his Vision India 2020 by Jayaprakash garu PRO of DRDO. Mr. Jayaprakash garu had worked with Dr. Kalam at DRDO for 7 years and also translated Dr. Kalam’s autobiography into regional language. He inspired and enthralled all the audience with Dr.Kalam’s vision of Agriculture, Food processing, Infrastructure, Energy, Water mission, Sustainable Rural Development through PURA in his words. He had finished his speech with famous quotes of Dr. Kalam.
Insights from the atomism, Motion & Energy and Science & speculations speech by Mr. Habeeb Ul Haq Ansari. Mr. Ansari. This topic had covered varying topics from Quantum Physics, Mechanics, and practical & different view of common perceptions. It was an interactive event with lot of questions from the audience including Youth members.
Another topic was on College education funding and loans, which is closest to youth in High school. It was presented by local Care-Chicago organization volunteer. Speaker had introduced all the available options for college funding including Scholarships, Grants, Loans, & Family savings. It gave an insight to all options and discussed pros and cons of each option. It also discussed about forgotten assets and that can be claimed from State of Illinois. As Indian community is very mobile during the early days of life there are lot of unclaimed assets. This event had showed some practical examples how to search and claim forgotten assets with proper proof.
“Experienced mentors can help us enhance our own voices, dig deeper to challenge ourselves to always seek the truth, to deepen our understandings, to improve our own skills” told by President Ramachandra Reddy, Ade. Also Requested all the TAGC parents to encourage their kids to participate in exciting workshops like Feed my Starving Kids, Educational and cultural events scheduled by TAGC. He also mentioned the more your child can be involved in the decision making process, the more invested in the experience of the workshops your child will be.
Ram Ade facilitated guest speakers and thanked the speakers for their valuable service to Youth and Schaumburg Township library for providing the facility, TAGC Board, Treasurer Venkat Gunuganti, Youth chair Sai Gongati, led the efforts of organizing the event. EC member Sujatha Katta as well as Partnering association SAHA team coordinator Jyothsna Sridhar Palwai posed interesting questions to speakers. TAGC team thanked Youth Coordinators Riya Gunuganti & Suhas Palwai for their introduction of Speakers.
