Mumbai: TataCLiQ.com, the Tata group’s multi-brand ecommerce platform has formalized a strategic partnership with Genesis Luxury Fashion Pvt. Ltd which will enable them to offer a wide range of international luxury brands, exclusively. This significant alliance will make TataCLiQ.com the only authorized partner to offer several international luxury brands in India that the Genesis Group represents.
Genesis is the marketing and distribution partner for more than 14 international brands that include Coach, Burberry, Furla, Tumi, Hugo BOSS, Jimmy Choo, Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, Armani Jeans, Bottega Veneta, Canali, G-Star RAW, Michael Kors, Paul Smith and Villeroy & Boch in India. Partnering with Genesis will help TataCLiQ.com get some of these brands online in an authentic and authorized manner to the consumer, which will be a first of its kind in India.
According to Ashutosh Pandey, CEO, TataCLiQ.com, “Our partnership with Genesis Luxury is a testament to providing the Indian consumer authentic brand experiences directly through authorized sellers and not unknown resellers. Currently, all the international luxury brands online on TataCLiQ.com are through our exclusive tie-up with the Genesis Group, and form a part of Genesis’ portfolio in offline retail.”
“Together, Genesis and TataCLiQ.com are also targeting a number of luxury brands that are not present in India or a part of Genesis’ portfolio. These will be launched over a period of time on TataCLiQ.com. Luxury products online on TataCLiQ.com are all known, well established brands, with a strong loyalty base. Customers of these brands are completely sure about the quality of these brands, and comfortable with the prices at which these are retailed in an offline channel and the online platform will add to their shopping experience and convenience.” he added.
“We are excited to partner with TataCLiQ.com which brings a unique online experience to shoppers seeking an authentic brand experience. The essence of Genesis Luxury lies in our philosophy that luxury brands are an experience above all. The partnership reaffirms our commitment to deliver value at par with the brands’ international standards. It will also enable us to expand our presence to cater to our growing affluent consumer market through the vast online network of TataCLiQ.com,” said Nikhil Mehra, CEO, Genesis Group.
Some of the international luxury brands will be entering the Indian market for the first time, providing the Indian consumer an exceptional shopping experience of luxury brands that are available just a click away through dedicated brand storefronts mirroring a mall like experience online. These brands will debut their Autumn/Winter collection in India on TataCLiQ.com, making them available to Indian consumers instantaneously.
There is now a larger consumer base for luxury products where consumers are looking for the real value proposition. According to a joint study conducted by Assocham-Deloitte, increasing mobile and Internet penetration, m-commerce sales, advanced shipping and payment options, exciting discounts, and push into new international markets by e-businesses are the major drivers of this unprecedented growth in the luxury brands segment.
TataCLiQ.com will open to consumers on May 27, 2016 across its website, mobile site and mobile apps (Android & iOS). At launch, TataCLiq.com will offer consumers a new shopping experience in apparel, electronics and footwear categories. Over the next few months, the plan is to expand the offering by adding many more categories, brands and exciting features.
