Titan continues innovation journey with Edge
Bangalore, March 20, 2017: Titan Company Limited, India’s leading lifestyle company, unveiled its latest collection under the Edge series called Titan Edge Ceramic. Continuing its legacy of hallmark Edge-like thinness, the limited-edition watches from Edge Ceramic collection are the slimmest ceramic watches in the universe, at a thickness of 4.4mm.
Designed with a 0.30 mm wafer thin sunburst dial and applied indices to make time reading legible, Edge Ceramic is available in two variants – Black with Rose gold indices and Anthracite Grey with silver indices. The limited-edition timepieces are made from scratch resistant, skin-friendly ceramic with a sapphire crystal glass on the dial and an all-ceramic strap. Edge Ceramic’s elegant simplicity is powered with the revolutionary Titan Edge movement at 1.15mm, the slimmest quartz movement in the world.
Ms. Suparna Mitra, Chief Marketing Officer, Watches & Accessories, Titan Company Limited said, “By inculcating Titan’s heritage in craftsmanship and expertise in innovation, Titan Edge has always occupied a special place in the watch connoisseur’s heart. With Edge Ceramic, the challenge in the project was maintaining the hallmark Edge-like thinness in Ceramic, an extremely hard but brittle material. Yet, at Titan we have achieved the impossible with the launch of Edge Ceramic by constantly challenging ourselves to offer the best of timepieces to the discerning consumer. Titan has once again made a mark with Edge Ceramic – a confluence of class and craftsmanship.”
Titan Edge series has been honored with the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, a property of the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, renowned to set the standard of design quality within various product categories. Having won consecutively from 2012-2014 for Titan’s innovative ideation and exceptional design, the Edge timepieces inculcate superior quality and timeless elegance.
Priced at Rs.22,995/- each, the Edge Ceramic timepieces are available at select World of Titan stores in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune.
