Pune: Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture for Women ( Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha, Karvenagar, Pune) has organized a seminar “Towards an Ecological Landscape TEL-2-2017 ” on 9th September 2017 at BNCA Auditorium karvenagar followed by field visits on 10th September 2017 . The first, Towards an Ecological Landscape (TEL-1) held in Sept 2015, was quite successful in setting up a collaborative dialogue between experts, researchers, academicians and the professionals and provided a meaningful platform for sharing their ecology based projects.
The two days seminar will have series of indoor sessions on the first day and curated site visits on the second day.The theme of the seminar is ‘URBAN ECOLOGY’, which intends to bring forth the urban dimension of ecology and landscapes, multidisciplinary perspectives from landscape architects, ecologists, conservationists, botanists and professionals from related disciplines, with the objective of understanding it holistically.

1. Ecological perspectives in designed landscapes
3. Northern western ghats (sahyadris) and the deccan plateau – ecology
