Mumbai: French Government honored former Union Finance Minister and veteran BJP leader Mr. Yashwant Sinha with Officier de la Légion d’Honneur (Officer of the Legion of Honour).
The prestigious award function was attended by the who’s who including Shatrughan Sinha,Ramesh Sippy ,Pritish Nandy etc
It is the highest French civilian distinction bestowed upon Mr. Yashwant Sinha in recognition of his international action taken during Mr. Yashwant Sinha stint as Union Minister of Finance, Minister External Foreign Affairs and for their invaluable contribution to international issues.
The legendary Actor & Politician Mr. Shatrugan Sinha was felicitated for his recognition and contribution to Indian and international cultural life.
Mr. Yashwant Sinha as External Affairs (from 2002-2004) had chaired Indo-French Parliamentary Friendship Group since its very inception (from 2009-2014). Mr. Yashwant Sinha had contributed in deepening of the Indo-French strategic partnership which was launched during the visit of them Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Paris in September 1998.Vijay Kalantri says “it a pleasure to have this evening and will be marked in the history “.
