Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), a constituent of Symbiosis International University (SIU) is proud to announce the eighteenth version, ‘XVIII National Seminar in Hospital & Healthcare Management, Medico Legal Systems & Clinical Research’ on 6th & 7th May 2016 at Symbiosis International University (SIU), Lavale, Pune. This has been accredited by Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) as well.
Highlights this year will be CONNEXIONS, National Seminar main event, Master Classes and Star Alumnus Award.
CONNEXIONS – A workshop and a placement drive is open to all on 5th May 2016 featuring talks on “Managing Challenges in Hospitals” by Dr. Ashish Banerji, CEO Ruby Hall Hospital, Pune, “Entrepreneurship” by Mr. A. Velumani, Founder & CEO, Thyrocare PVT. LTD. and “Role of Six Sigma in Healthcare” by Dr. Pradeep Bhardwaj, CEO, Six Sigma Star Healthcare, New Delhi, is planned.
The main event of National Seminar on 6th May 2016 will be inaugurated by Adv. Ram Jethmalani, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) as Guest of Honor. Mr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President, Thumbay Group, UAE as Chief Guest and Dr. S B Mujumdar, Founder President, Symbiosis & Chancellor, SIU will preside the occasion.
A pre-conference symposium on ‘Successful Healthcare Models’ will be anchored by Ms. Shobha Mishra, Senior Director, FICCI. Keys speakers in pre-conference symposium includes Dr. Ravindra Karanjekar, Group CEO, Jupiter Hospital, Mr. Shushobhan Dasgupta, MD, Johnson & Johnson, India, Mr. Aniruddha Rajurkar, Head India Business, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd., and Mr. Kaushik Sen, Co-founder & CEO, Healthspring.
The second half of the day will feature a session on Healthcare Communications by Dr. Nagesh Rao, President, MICA. This will be followed by a session on Enterprise Performance Management by Mr. Abhishek Singh, Director, PWC.
Four intensive, domain specific master class sessions will be arranged viz., Changing Paradigm in HR by Mr. Joy Chakraborty, COO, Hinduja Hospital, Emerging trends in Diagnostic Care by Dr. Arvind Lal, Chairman, Lal Path Lab, Opportunities and challenges in Health Insurance by Mr. Pravin Yadav, CAO, MDIndia Healthcare Services (TPA) PVT. LTD & Special laws related to Healthcare by Dr. Sanjay Gupte, Past President, Federation of Obstetrics & Gynaecological & Medical Legal expert.
Day 2 of the XVIIIth National Seminar starts with a session on Medical Tourism and Care beyond boundaries by Mr. Abhay Soi, CMD, Radiant Life Care Pvt. Ltd. Later a session on Business Analytics & financial modeling will be delivered by Mr. Sorabh Kataria, Executive Director, Transaction Advisory Services E & Y.
Dr. Prabhu Vinayagam, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, JCI will conduct session on Quality & Accreditation- National & International. Home Health Care a rising concept will be explained by Mr. Vishal Bali, Co-founder and Chairman, Medwell Ventures.
A session on Quality systems in Clinical Trials will be taken by Dr. Suneela Thatte, Vice President, Quantiles, India Pvt. Ltd, followed by a session on Pharmacovigilance by Dr. Ganesh Uchit, Therapy Lead, Pfizer Limited.
A session on “Improving healthcare outcomes by managing human factors” by Dr. Uttam Shiralkar, Consultant, National Health Services (NHS), UK will throw light on challenges for hospitals with respect to human resource.
The valedictory ceremony will be graced by the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Shri. Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Guests of Honor, Lt. Gen. Akhil Nagpal, AVSM, VSM, Commandant, AFMC, Pune and presided over by Dr. Rajani Gupte, Vice Chancellor, SIU and Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Principal Director, Symbiosis.
